CHĪ CǍO DE NIŪ
CHĪ CǍO DE NIŪ is a Taiwanese Indigenous-inspired food brand rooted in the culinary culture of the Amis people. The name, which literally means “the girl who eats grass,” is a playful reference to the traditional Indigenous appreciation of wild edible plants and ingredients from the land. It does not mean that we are a vegetarian brand.
We bring Indigenous Taiwanese flavors into contemporary street food through grilled pork, maqaw pork sausages, and Chinese toon pork sausages, paired with traditional millet wine.
Our goal is to introduce the unique flavors and food culture of Taiwan’s Indigenous communities to more people through approachable, flavorful, and modern dishes—sharing the stories of the land and its people, one bite and one glass at a time.
