Gin-Happy Lemon was founded in Pusike (Posko Niyaro) Village in Yuli, Hualien.
The name “Gin” (金) represents gold-standard quality and excellence, while “Happy” (喜) comes from the founder’s father’s name, symbolizing heritage, gratitude, and continuation.
Founder Dafak Lin Desheng, an Amis youth who returned to his hometown, works hand in hand with elder indigenous farmers—many over the age of 70—to revive abandoned farmlands through contract farming and promote chemical-free, eco-friendly cultivation.
By engaging community members in lemon processing and cultural development, Jin-Xi Lemon has built a complete, community-based agricultural value chain.
The brand upholds the “Three No-Waste Principles” —
No Waste of Environment: adopting natural farming methods and recycling lemon by-products into organic enzyme fertilizers;
No Waste of Land: restoring idle farmlands through fair trade and stable contracts with local farmers;
No Waste of Fruit: utilizing the whole lemon to develop diversified, high-value products.
Jin-Xi Lemon strives to become a sustainable agricultural brand rooted in local culture and social impact—
transforming each lemon into a symbol of Hualien’s land, people, and hope.
